he died following a long battle with cancer at age 72. we will have a live report in just a moment. police investigate an overnight shooting in baltimore county. it happened one:45 in woodlawn. police say they found an adult male inside a vehicle sovereign from a gunshot wound. he was taken to the hospital life-threatening injuries. at this hour his condition is not known. there is no word on a suspect or possible motive. >> hours earlier, city police responded to the area of fairview avenue to find a 60- romance shot in the head at about 11:00 on garrison boulevard. the victim was taken to hospital but died a short time later. there is also no word on a suspect or possible motive. >> the weather was absolutely gorgeous today. some changes are on the way.

no rain nearby. you can see on the radar a few little showers in new york state and the state of maine. more in the dakotas and minnesota and back into wyoming. in the pacific northwest, that have had snow in cascade. the colder tip jurors are out that way. for us, the temperature is warming up. tomorrow and the next day and the next they will be great. details in the forecast, just ahead. x a new wall street journal poll shows president obama and mitt romney are tied to weeks before the election. the poll has the race that even with 47% support for each candidate. it was conducted october 17-20 after last week's second avenue. the poll has mitt romney leading in the battleground states reject after last week's second debate.

>> three people were shot and killed inside wisconsin spa and it is reported the suspected shooter is still on the run. in addition to the deaths, four people were hurt, none of them in critical condition. it all happened around 11:00 this morning at a baseball. the suspected shooter has been identified as radcliffe franklin hal andughton. a task force has released a sketch to help identify a suspect in the rash of shootings in the detroit area. multiple victims have reported a man firing shots while driving

toward them. this is a sketch, based on one victim's description. so far no one has been injured. the incidents have occurred in the i-90 corridor. seven new saints have been identified today, two of them american. it includes the first native american saint. the other american st. was mother mary ann cope, who cared for lepers in hawaii. the canonization coincided with the vatican meeting of world bishops. waterspouts and final clouds and washington state. tens of thousands of people dressed in pink gather in baltimore county in support of finding a cure for breast cancer. >> you can see there is no rain

let out. soon we will be seeing hundreds of people falling out of this church, including some of maryland's highest elected officials. the service has included songs, prayers, and really a celebration of clarence mitchell iii's life. we heard stories today that will become his legacy. as many speakers pointed out, the service is not only a celebration of mitchell's controversy the contributions, but those of his entire family -- not only mitchell's contributions, but those of his entire family. >> i think with him leaving, what the people here will have a legacy of things in his honor. with him being the junior, he will also have a legacy.

>> as i mentioned a few minutes ago, the higher elevations in the cascades, something is happening out here. we have had quiet weather here. 66 was the high at the airport. a few scattered clouds and a typical high of 75. below this morning was 45 and typical is 44. you could got -- you could not get more near-perfect or at least normal temperatures this time of year. 60 on the boardwalk, westminster 59, frederick holding steady it 61. dropped into the 40's audit for western maryland right now. look at the satellite radar accommodation. a fuel scattered clouds this afternoon, nothing significant and no precipitation. that is all an upstate new york and new england. a cold front out to the west and here is that stormy weather in

the pacific northwest. there is even a hint of a warm front out in the plains. warmer weather, the way the jets stream is tracking right now we are in for some cool air. rising again out over the atlantic. everything is progressing eastward. here is all that warm air and out to the west. that will be coming in and it will part here for today's. look at the temperatures here at 6:00, well into the 80's, near 90 down in the southern plains. all this stuff is headed our way. the forecast for tonight will be a chilly one. upper 30's to near 40. mostly clear skies, sunset at 6:18, which is three or four minutes away. if there is a breeze, it will be very light and from the west. tomorrow, the temperatures jump

up from today and they just keep going from there for the next couple of days. mostly sunny skies, above average for the season with a west wind of 5-10 miles an hour. a one-foot chop on the open waters of the bay tomorrow. the futurecast, watch the time line. we stay dry for a while. once again to tuesday, the warm front out and can this comes in and by later in the day tuesday, of to the north we may pick up a sprinkle with a few little clouds during the day on tuesday. then things dry out. the most significant chance for any rain holds off for six-seven days. the forecast, tomorrow 70, 76, 79, 78. we pick up a few more clouds as we head to the weekend and by sunday we have a range chance with a high of 68. after that, not such great weather, it looks like. >> houston, we have a problem.
